This project involved the interior fitout of the top of a new office building designed by Peddle Thorpe and Walker near Circular Quay. The building owner's original intension was to allocate a large double height penthouse to the top two levels. Our involvement resulted in two smaller double storey apartments, to be used as office space supported by living facilities on the upper level. Apartment A was to be the building owner's office and featured an double height space enclosed by a glazed box. Apartment B was to be sold. The fitout of the lift lobby completed the scope of our work. The buildings architect had set the footprint and shell of the building.
Level 15 accommodated entry, secretarial space, a waiting area, toilet and tea making facilities, the main office and associated meeting area. Level 16 connected by a secret stair accommodated a kitchen, dining area and bathroom, a living space and a single bedroom.
The intention was to produce quality apartments that would compliment the Circular Quay location. The space was specifically intended for business people who required a City address for a few days a week and required the functions of a serviced apartment.
